Philanthropic gifts from you and others like you -- guests, alumni, friends, and people in the community -- are transforming the Camp Brosius landscape. Since the School of Physical Education and Tourism Management (PETM) was entrusted with camp management responsibilities by the IU Board of Trustees in 2005, more than two million dollars have been invested in accommodation and facility upgrades, giving all guests and students new beds; better living spaces; a great guest lounge and gift shop; educational equipment such as the challenge course; physical activity options like key log rollers, kayaks, and low-impact watercraft; and so much more.
These accomplishments are significant, and we are grateful to all our treasured Camp Brosius donors -- from children who have saved money to donate to camp's playground renovations to those who have named areas or contributed to specific upgrades to our Elkhart Lake community friends. Each and every gift is important and has an immediate and lasting impact.
In addition to annual progress, long-term philanthropic support is key to camp's sustainability. Recently, generous donors created an endowment that solidifies possibilities and creates opportunities for camp's future. Raising funds for the Camp Brosius endowment is, consequently, one of the School of Physical Education and Tourism Management's IU Bicentennial Campaign key priority areas.
We understand that you have many choices for charitable giving. For all who have given, and for those who will give in the future, we thank you for choosing to contribute to Camp Brosius.
